Time to get over the post Labor Day blues for all still lamenting the passing of summer. The good news is, unless you ski, have substantial investments in a few of the resorts to our North or are a snowmobile dealer, it has not yet snowed. Next Tuesday, September 19th at 6:30PM, we will re-convene back at (MPR1) Microsoft in Waltham, MA, for our first of the fall season's FrontPage User Group meetings. Between now and December we may actually have one or two meetings OFF-site so please read future notices carefully and don't always show up where you were the month before. (Huh?) There will be no pizza to be had. +++++++++++++++ Our Speaker: Brad Dinerman, Senior Engineer at USDataCenters.com, will be on hand to give us a technical presentation on a number of FrontPage and Internet/Server security issues. Brad will also discuss using Internet Information Server (IIS) and extending FrontPage by hand-coding ASP. He may even be coaxed into answering any remaining question on IE vs. NN design, but only if time and good social conscience permits. Brad's skill set includes both Windows NT Server/2000 administration and Internet development. He is an MCSE and an MCP+I, and also chairs the Microsoft Exchange Server User Group here in Boston. In his spare time he is also an instructor for the Clark University Computer Career Institute Client/Server program, teaching HTML, JavaScript and Active Server Pages; and has worked at Sea Change Systems (Peabody, MA) in the roles of Webmaster, Network Administrator, and Manager of Information Systems. He has a PhD in Physics and an all around nice guy. So, bring out your problems and quandaries and grab a front row seat. Oh yes, Pizza will be served. After all what is a User Group meeting without food? (Answer: not well attended.) +++++++++++++++ Additional Note: From Microsoft our friend John Stroiney has sent along word that he will be delivering a presentation on Windows ME in their Waltham, MA office on 10/11/00 at 7:00 PM and thought there may be some of our members interested in attending. This is an open presentation and will not be sponsored by a specific user group, although several will be invited. # # # -- Tom Lee, Jr. Chairman, Boston FrontPage User Group www.FrontPageBoston.com Fpugchair@usdatacenters.com --
