Date: Sat, 6 May 2000 15:06:22 -0400 (EDT) From: Mary Hopkins Subject: [Boston-voice-users] BVU meeting 5/9 The next meeting of Boston Voice Users is next Tuesday, May 9, at 7:30 p.m., MIT 2-135, directions below. We don't know quite what we're doing, but we'll be there ... Directions at end of this announcement.. We'd hoped to have a demo of ViaVoice for the Mac, but due to unavailability of a suitable demo machine we're not sure whether we'll be able to do that. If anybody has a Mac they'd be willing to lend, please let us know ... Failing that, we're looking for alternative presenters (volunteers very welcome!) or else we'll just have a general discussion meeting. IN GENERAL: We aim to have a meeting every 2nd Tues. at 7:30. We can't say always, guaranteed; MIT gives us our room reservation several months at a time, so we can't see too far into the future. Should we have to change rooms, we'll do our best to maintain the time. While on the subject of logistics: We used to have a local phone list, of group members who were available to help others out. This has not been updated in almost a year; some folks have moved out of town &c. So it seems well to start over. If you're willing to be on such a list, please reply to this email (send to mhopkins@fas.harvard.edu, not to the whole list) giving Name Phone(s) and hours Email Areas of expertise Directions to room: Go in the main door of MIT, at 77 Mass Ave. Go straight down the Infinite Corridor for as long as you can. When forced to turn, go right. You'll pass an intersection decorated with murals of jungle animals. There'll be a hallway to the library on your left, stairs on your right. Keep going straight, 2-135 is a couple of doors further along on your left. For wheelchair access: use the door at 33 Mass Ave, toward the River from the main door. There's a lift there. Please feel free to cross-post this message. _______________________________________________ Boston-voice-users maillist - Boston-voice-users@harvee.billerica.ma.us http://harvee.billerica.ma.us/mailman/listinfo/boston-voice-users
