Life Balance for Palm OS helps manage conflicting demands on your time. PalmPower magazine reviewer Bob Freud wrote, "When you buy a piece of software, you don't usually expect that it's going to ask you to think deeply about your life and what you want it to be about. Life Balance, however, isn't most software." At the May meeting Llamagraphics will discuss why thinking about Life, the Universe and Everything is hard, and how Life Balance can actually help! Llamagrapgics web site is at http://www.llamagraphics.com I also rec'd a new GPS demo unit from Rand McNally that I will bring along for everyone to check out. More info on the product is available at http://www.randmcnally.com/gps This is shaping up to be a meeting of interest to all. Door Prizes too! For information on our Exec Board Meeting, please visit our web site at http://www.ne-palm.org/exec.htm Other business: - Have you been to our web site lately? We strive to provide the latest info on meetings and other events. We also have a list of all books available to teach you how to use the Palm. These include several new titles. Check it out today! - Don't forget about our message board. It's a great place to post questions and get answers to your Palm related dilemmas. Visit today at http://www.ne-palm.org/message.htm - Want to part of our HELP (Help Everyone Learn Palm) Team! We are looking for folks who have detailed knowledge of the Palm in specific areas. These could be hardware or software related. Have you used the Palm with Lotus Notes? Have you converted your Sharp Wizard data to the Palm successfully? These are some of the questions we get from members. If you can help, contact Steve Isenberg at smi@ne-palm.org - Don't for get about PC Expo. It's in NYC from June 27-29. Palm and HandSpring are both listed as exhibitors. More details at http://www.pcexpo.com - Have you thought about starting your own group? We know that it is difficult for many of you to make our monthly meetings. I would love to see groups start in Worcester, Springfield, Providence, Manchester and other locations throughout New England. Our problem is we don't have the resources to start these groups ourselves. If you have thought about starting your own group, here are my thoughts: First, check out the International Palm User Group web site at http://www.interpug.com. This site is run by the leader of the Nashville Palm User Group. He is offering web space to help new groups get off the ground. He plans to offer other resources in the future. After you contact them, if you decide to start your own group, please let me know. I'll provide whatever resources (limited as they are) to assist. - Help us sign up new members. We have aprx 600 members today. We would like to reach 1000 members by the end of this year. If each member would refer just one person, we can make our goal easily. Tell a colleague, forward this message to a friend or stop the next person on the street you see using a Palm and ask if they are a member (ok, maybe the last idea is a little extreme). Do you belong to other groups or organizations (computer or otherwise) whose members probably use Palm's? Mention the NEPUG at the next meeting. Your help will be greatly appreciated! Many Thanks Michael Steinberg President NEPUG mes@ne-palm.org Note: If you wish to be removed from our membership list, please send an email to mes@ne-palm.org. Please be sure and include the email address you joined under, as this is how members are listed in our database.
