Date: Sun, 18 Jun 2000 22:03:09 -0400 (EDT) From: Steven Allen Subject: Boston Windows User Group June 26 Meeting Monday, June 26, 2000 --------------------- Digital Music and the Internet ============================== Boston Windows User Group ------------------------- 7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Speaker at 8:00 p.m. --------------------- BWUG's Rob Kaulfuss focuses on enjoying digital music in the home office with just your PC, upgraded speakers, broadband or dial-up Internet connection and free software. Rob also discusses the underlying technologies and related issues and combines live demos of hardware and software options with screen shots of online music services. An introduction to this by Rob, a Prof of Computer Applications at Middlesex Community College and consultant to http://audiovideoweb.com, was enthusiastically received at our April 2000 meeting. This is a change of topic because Hewlett Packard could not get their act together on giving us a presentation. Location: Microsoft's Multipurpose Room 1, 6th floor, 230 Third Ave, Waltham, MA, which has Parking and has Wheelchair access. Directions: Take Route 95/128 to Exit 27A. Go south on Third Ave passing between the northbound 95/128 and the Westin Hotel. Reaching Third Ave requires a U-turn to the right from the northbound 95/128 exit or a "cross the overpass and turn right" from the southbound 95/128 exit. From Third Ave, turn left onto Fourth Ave immediately after the Westin. Go to end, turn right and follow signs for Prospect Place. Bear right at the fork and follow signs to Visitor Parking.
