From: Robert J. Young To: Access User Group Members Subject: Meeting of Access/VB User Group in Dover Date: Tuesday, June 13, 2000 3:27 AM SUBJECT: Microsoft Access User Group - Key Personnel has shut down their space so we've moved to NEW MEETING LOCATION - 100 Main Street, Dover, Suite 222, Alliance Aircraft Corp. North on the Spaulding Turnpike (Rte 4) past the first toll (about 10 minutes from the Portsmouth traffic circle). Exit right at Exit 7 turning right onto 108 North. About 2-miles up 108 the road turns into one way coming at you - We're at the far end of the Cocheco Mills just in front of you and to the right - So take a right then 3 lefts which will take you completely around the Mill coming back down 108 - take the first right (between the Chinese Restaurant and the music store) for parking. Alliance has offices on three floors, but you want the executive office (actually the planning room) which is the second floor above the court yard entrance. Hope to see you there - Bob Young, Director - Planning Alliance Aircraft Corp 100 Main Street - Suite 222 - 2nd Floor - Court Yard Entrance - Dover, NH 03821 Tel 603-749-7900 x 2055 Cell 603-231-0435 TIME - 5:30 PM, Tuesday, June 20, 2000 Program - Wilson Thomsas will be visiting us from Bedford to discuss: A neat and cheap way to get information from a web site is to allow the visitor to e-mail you a message. Wilson will show us how to automatically read e-mail messages received into Microsoft Outlook, identify the ones from the web site, and bring the data right into MS Access - Wilson says that it'[s a trivial thing to do. This will be a very good topic for anyone wanting to simplify the gathering of data from a web site. It could apply to a boutique gathering information for a wedding, or a homeowner wanting to describe a project to a contractor. Alan Brouillette will be on hand with comments about XML for anyone interested in this topic. Jim Rand will also be on tap - he's developed some n-tier applications and can discuss any issues users might be having in that area. We had a great time last month with Russ Fustino from Microsoft. As always, our open format accomodates any level of expertise - that's what a user group is for - Bob Young Summit Computing Associates 55 Ocean Boulevard Hampton, NH 03842 Tel 603-929-7964 rjyoung@javanet.com
