He explains their capabilities, user interfaces, advantages and shortcomings. In response to several requests by meeting attendees, John Allen's July presentation on graphics optimization are posted on his Web site. John didn't have time to polish these materials for Web use, and some material he won't get to until the September meeting is included. The PowerPoint '97 presentation is at: http://www.bikexprt.com/bwug/ppt/ (1.4 MB) and the graphics examples are at http://www.bikexprt.com/bwug/ (6 kB HTML file and about 2.2 MB of images). The URLs are not linked. You won't be able to find them with search engines or through John's home page -- bookmark them if you want to view them again. The PowerPoint presentation includes John's speaker notes in addition to the slides shown at the meeting. We have a presenter from AMD, to speak on their Processor Roadmap, scheduled for our November meeting. We need more participation from you: what could YOU (or people you know) present to the group this year. Please notify us, http://www.bwug.org/join or by email, when your email address changes.
