The meeting is free, and open to all users of PDA technology. As always, our resident team of PDA experts can answer almost any question about the care and feeding of nearly any handheld platform, including Pilot, Psion, WinCE and Newton. ----update------ From: "George Capalbo" To: Subject: AUGUST 8th MEETING: IMPORTANT UPDATE Date: Monday, August 07, 2000 1:10 PM LATE MEETING UPDATE: Howard Samels from Analog devices has informed me that he will be bringing Till Harbaum to tomorrow's BOSPDAUG meeting. (August 8th, at 7pm, MIT 3-133) For those of you who may not know, Till Harbaum is responsible for the cool Palm hardware hacks and software that have made the Analog devices accelerometer usable on the Palm, as well as other cool Palm hardware/software innovations. (We're not putting Till on the spot to give a formal presentation, but I'm sure he would be happy to talk to us about his work on the palm, as well as answer a few questions). As you may also know, BOSPDAUG has been exploring designing an accelerometer based Springboard module for the Handspring. It should be an interesting meeting. You can check out Till's Palm website of hardware hacks, games, and development sources at: http://www.cs.tu-bs.de/~harbaum/pilot/ The Boston PDA User's Group is an organization made up of those who choose to walk freely among us with handheld and palmtop computers. Formed in 1992, its goal is to connect with the newest and coolest handheld computer technology. BOSPDAUG meets on the second Tuesday evening of each month at MIT in Cambridge MA in MIT room 3-133 at 7pm, and welcomes users of all PDA platforms for lively discussions of handheld and PDA technologies. For a map and directions to MIT, check out our website (http://www.pobox.com/~bospdaug). Also, for Palm VII users, check out the BOSPDAUG PQA at PilotGear. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- George N.
